a wooden chair
created with unique
Sarna chairs come in two variants, with a full or a short armrest.
Both of them are stackable.
the short one
The variant with a short armrest is designed with cafes and restaurants in mind. The geometry of legs turning into the backrest in this design enables hanging chairs easily on tabletops.
The comfort of the chair was crucial for us. The back is strongly supported by a rounded backrest and profiled plywood.
Armrests allow your arms to stay just as comfortable while you sit, and provide additional, stable support when you decide to get up.
The detail of the armrest is made of grain leather, that was tanned with the application of traditional techniques – using only natural tree bark extracts (including chestnut and acacia).
It is made without chromium, harmful for both our health
and the environment, or other synthetic additives.
The leather is treated with natural wax only, which enables it to preserve its properties. It also means that – like any other natural material – it will mature, change and darken over time.
Sarna chair is made of oak: the base structure is solid wood, while bentwood elements consist of over 50 leaves of an oak veneer, hand-glued and shaped in dedicated molds.
the leather details are manufactured by one of the few
remaining traditional tanneries in our part of Europe.
